1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Barnoq Immigration Solutions (“Barnoq”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on barnoqimmigrationsolutions.com. It complements our Privacy Policy and explains how you can control the use of cookies.
We use cookies in accordance with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the UK GDPR, and Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) guidance.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and gather information about how you use the site.
We also use related technologies such as local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way. References to “cookies” in this policy include those technologies.
Cookies can be:
- First-party — set by the website you are visiting (us); or
- Third-party — set by another organisation whose service is loaded on the page (for example, an analytics provider).
They can also be:
- Session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser; or
- Persistent cookies, which stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
3. The cookies we use
We group the cookies we use into the categories below. The exact list may change as we update our tools, but the categories will not.
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the website to function. They cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions you take, such as filling in a form, logging into a secure area, or recording your cookie preferences. You can set your browser to block them but parts of the site will not work.
- barnoq_cookie_consent (first-party, persistent, up to 12 months) — remembers your cookie-consent choice so we do not ask again on every visit.
- Session security tokens (first-party, session) — keep your form submissions and bookings secure against cross-site request forgery.
3.2 Analytics cookies (consent required)
These help us understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it. They count visits and traffic sources, show which pages are the most and least popular, and tell us how visitors move around the site. The information they collect is aggregated and we use it only to improve the site.
We only set these cookies if you give consent.
- Vercel Analytics (first-party, persistent, up to 24 hours) — counts page views and unique visitors without using third-party trackers. Provided by Vercel Inc.
- Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) (third-party, persistent, up to 14 months) — measures site usage and performance. Provided by Google LLC. Read Google's privacy notice.
3.3 Functionality cookies (consent required)
These allow the site to provide enhanced functionality, such as embedded scheduling and rich media. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we include on our pages.
- Cal.com (third-party, session and persistent) — used by our embedded scheduling tool to remember timezone and booking flow state. Set when you interact with the booking embed.
3.4 Payment cookies
When you pay a consultation fee, the payment page is hosted by Stripe. Stripe sets its own strictly-necessary cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. Review Stripe's cookie settings for detail.
3.5 Marketing cookies
We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any marketing cookies are set.
4. Your consent
When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner asks whether you accept the optional cookies (analytics and functionality). You can accept all, reject all, or change your preferences at any time.
Strictly-necessary cookies do not require your consent because they are essential to provide the service you have asked for.
5. How to manage cookies
5.1 On this website
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page, or by clearing your browser's storage for this site, which will trigger the banner again on your next visit.
5.2 In your browser
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Instructions for the major browsers:
Blocking all cookies in your browser may stop parts of the Site from working as intended.
5.3 Opting out of Google Analytics
You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Do-Not-Track signals
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is currently no consistent industry standard for how websites should respond to it. We rely on the cookie-consent choices you make through the banner rather than the browser signal.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the “last updated” date at the top. Where changes are material we will re-prompt for consent through the banner.
8. Contact us
If you have questions about our use of cookies or about how we handle personal data, please contact us at privacy@barnoqimmigrationsolutions.com.
